Accessibility statement
We want everyone to be able to use our website and get help with their appliances.
Our commitment
Independent Appliance aims for this website to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. The site was rebuilt in October 2026 with accessibility in mind.
What we've done
- A "Skip to main content" link, clear headings and landmarks for screen-reader navigation.
- Every feature works with a keyboard, with a clearly visible focus indicator.
- Text and buttons meet WCAG AA color-contrast requirements.
- Descriptive text alternatives for meaningful images.
- Layouts that reflow at 400% zoom and on small screens, and respect for "reduce motion" settings.
- Links that open a new tab or another site are announced.
- Tested with automated accessibility tools (axe-core) and keyboard-only navigation.
Third-party content
Our online request form is provided by Jotform, and directions open in Google Maps. We can't fully control the accessibility of those services. If either gives you trouble, please call us. We're glad to take your request by phone.
